Do you do WALK IN’S?
- Yup! You’re welcome to pop in whenever we’re open and try, full details right here.
- On Fridays I host a Walk In Special

Where are you LOCATED?
- As of October 2023 I’m co-owner of Good Mourning Tattoo Company with some friends of mine!

What STYLE do you draw/tattoo?
- I focus on American/Japanese Traditional style art, you can watch a short vid to learn more about it right here.
*For now I’m only tattooing in black.
What is “flash”?
- Y’know that art you see all over the walls of some tattoo shops? It’s that! Pre-drawn designs typically meant to be tattooed as-is over and over.
*Some designs have adjustable elements, like words in a banner, or where leaves go to fit placement on the body, etc. We can chat about that once you submit a form ;)
Do you tattoo with COLOUR?
- Right now, no. My focus is on blackwork (no greys, white, red, etc).
Do you have HEALED PICS for reference?
- Yup! A small gallery of them right here!
*If you’ve been tattooed by me, please send a clear/straight-on photo of your healed tattoo, if it’s ok to post it :)
Do you offer CUSTOM tattoos?
- YUP! When submitting a form just write “CUSTOM” for the design ID, and all details/ideas in the notes.
- Sometimes I ask for a +$10 design fee (paid w/ appt deposit). I’m down to rework designs to fit your needs, but unused designs will be used as available flash for the public.
*If your idea isn’t a fit for me, I’m happy to refer you to an artist that might be a better fit for the project.
Are there limitations to body PLACEMENT?
- Nope! But for walk-ins be reasonable please.
Do you do tattoo / scar cover ups / add to other artist’s work?
- Scar cover ups; yes but it depends on placement and severity of scarring. Definitely something we can chat about, keeping in mind that I’ll need to see the scarring before being able to decide.
- Tattoo cover ups; it greatly depends on what you’re wanting covered. Some small handpoked linework? Sure I can probably help with that. Some big half sleeve thing…I can probably refer you to a more experienced artist :)
- Add to others work; no. At least not right now. Contact the original artist or someone better equipped than I am to take on something like that.
What are your RATES?
- As of March 1st 2023, I’m charging $150/hr (+gst) and require a full deposit for the 1st hour to book an appointment.
- Deposits can be paid via eTransfer/cash once we’ve confirmed your appointment details.
*for walk-in events I charge per-piece
Why don’t you REFUND deposits?
- Because this is how I pay my bills. If you cancel at the last minute or ghost me, I not only lose the money that would’ve been earned from your appointment, but I (most likely) won’t have enough time to book a replacement appointment. Time is money!
- If you need to cancel an appointment and give me at least a 72hr heads up I can bump your deposit over to a new appointment.
- For the month of December there is no bumping of deposits whatsoever. All sales are final until the new year!
Is it CASH ONLY?
- For appointments, it’s preferred. For deposits eTransfer is easier.
- NO CARD MACHINE ON SITE (bank/atm across street).
*eTransfer is acceptable sometimes when a tattoo is finished, but because processing times can get in the way it’s a last-straw option.
WHEN can I book an appointment?
- My schedule is typically Tue-Sat 10am-6pm, and I try to book out ~2mo’s ahead.
- I’m super flexible though and recognize that some people can only book on certain days/times :)
- Standing in line and waiting for a tattoo can be annoying I know! A huge thank you to everyone that has patience and waits it out. I get every message and respond to EVERYONE no matter how long it takes!
What do you suggest for AFTER CARE?
- Every artist has their suggestions and every client’s body is different, you can view my tips ‘n tricks RIGHT HERE.
Do you allow NUMBING CREAM?
- Sure! You’re responsible to buy/apply yourself - follow ALL instructions before coming to your appointment.
- If you’re going to use it TELL ME when we’re booking the appointment. Any time spent during appointment will be charged.
*I’ve never personally used on myself when getting tattooed.
*I’ve heard The Sugar Freak carries some great stuff.
Do you tattoo MINORS?
- No! Adults only, no exceptions!
- You must have legal ID with when you show up for your appointment, or you’ll be sent home and charged!
Do you still wear a MASK?
- Sometimes, because there are tons of people coming in and out of the shop all day everyday. Artists wear gloves/sleeves/aprons to protect themselves, and we cover all surfaces during the appointment to protect our rooms, so wearing a mask just makes sense to further protect myself from sickness/blood droplets/etc.
Did you do an APPRENTICESHIP or were you a “kitchen scratcher”?
- I did a 2yr apprenticeship in Winnipeg.
Do you recommend any OTHER ARTISTS?
- Of course! If I’m not a good fit for your idea, I’m happy to recommend someone else for the job :)
Do you offer GIFT CERTIFICATES?
- Yes, year round! They’re $150ea and can be used for any flash designs in my catalogue!
What’s the best way to PREPARE FOR an appointment?
- Eat, sleep, bathe, don’t come drunk, don’t come sick!
